Jasmine Benjamin is a California girl. She represents the ease of Northern California where she was raised, and the cosmopolitan pace of Hollywood where her work lives. Jasmine has an ever-creative spirit.
While a college student in 2004 at Los Angeles-based Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), Jasmine turned an internship at Interscope Records into an opportunity to flex her creative eye on special projects aimed at developing the visual image and style of the label's artists. Soon thereafter, she moved to New York City where she lived and worked inside the fashion scene for six years.
Since then, she has worked alongside some of the best names in music, including Anderson .Paak, Miguel, Meghan Trainor, Outkast, Rae Sremmurd, Charlie Puth, and Chaka Khan, among others. Jasmine was responsible for the incredibly successful image rebranding of pop sensation Miguel, as his Stylist and Creative Director from 2012-2016. She is also responsible for the rebranded image of Anderson .Paak 2018-2021. She was also creative directing Anderson .Paaks Vans collaboration. Jasmines work in costume design is also strong and unique, she costume designed the two lead characters on the YouTube Originals television sitcom "Champaign, Ill" Starring Sam Richardson and Adam Pally in (2018). Including costume designing various commercials for brands such as Sprite, Nike, Beats by Dre and Google Superbowl commercials to name a few. Benjamin has clients participate in fashions biggest event of the year, the Metropolitan Museum Of Art “Met Gala” years 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019.
Jasmine's aesthetic and unique perspective continues to influence pop culture through her work. She draws from an expansive knowledge-base of current trends, and of fashion history. Her finger remains on the pulse of what is new & now, and she is often consulted by industry leaders for advice on future trends. Her thorough approach to style and fashion keeps her work fresh and forward-thinking. Jasmine has been recognized by publications including Vogue and Billboard for her contributions to music and fashion, and was named ID Magazine's "Top Stylist of 2016."
Jasmine Benjamin lives and works in both Los Angeles and NYC.
